In the wake of the disintegration of 3Dfx, a number of interesting articles have been written about the fall of the company largely responsible for the 3-D gaming revolution. The entry of the company into the board business, many say, alienated the board makers that once bought the chips that 3Dfx made. Moreover, it distracted the company from doing what it did best.
