DRAM contract prices for the second half of October all trended downward with the largest drop coming from the DDR2 segment, where prices fell 8.12%-14.7%, according to figures from DRAMeXchange. DRAMeXchange again reiterated that the drop of DRAM contract prices is due to tight Intel DDR2 supported chipset supply and the slow penetration rate of DDR2.
