DDR2 prices rising in November

Although market players generally believed DDR2 contract prices would stay flat in the second half of November, prices are rising instead due to strong PC demand for the upcoming Christmas season, supply issues related to some makers transitioning to 90nm production and growing demand for DDR2 512MB 667MHz DIMMs. PC OEMs that have increased their DRAM content per box to 1GB and offered aggressive price cuts for notebooks prior to Christmas have successfully encouraged consumption, DRAMeXchange said.
