DRAM output grew over 50% in 2005, DDR2 shows exceptional growth

Despite global DRAM output encountering a slight sequential drop in December, overall output enjoyed a 51.6% on-year growth to reach 680.5 million 256Mbit equivalent units in 2005.
The migration to DDR2 has accelerated, with output enjoying growth more than 20 times faster than that of DDR in the same period, according to figures posted by DRAMeXchange.
