DDR-II manufacturers: Poised for the arrival of Intel's Grantsdale
As the world awaits the introduction of Intel's first Pentium 4 Socket T (LGA775 form-factor) chipset family, called the Grantsdale, DRAM makers may be the ones with the most expectation and optimism. Not due until the second quarter of 2004, the first Grantsdale chipset will support Dual DDR400 while the follow-up Grantsdale P will be the first to support Dual DDR-II 533MHz, Intel previously announced. DRAM manufacturers in Taiwan plan to begin producing DDR-II 533 by year-end.
