Dataram Puts out Memory for Itanium-based HP Rigs

Dataram says it's won the race in getting memory upgrades on the market for Hewlett-Packard's Intel Itanium-based HP i2000, rx4610, and rx9610. You can pick up the DRH4610 upgrades in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities. Each upgrade consists of four identical 133MHz, ECC SDRAM DIMMs. For The HP i2000, HP currently offers only a 1GB upgrade, limiting customers to a 4GB maximum, but Dataram's 4GB upgrade will give you a maximum memory capacity of 16GB. DIMMs are installed on one or two Memory Expansion Cards (MECs). Each MEC contains eight DIMM slots and DIMMs must be installed in groups of four identical modules. For servers, HP offers a rack-optimized rx4610 that supports up to 64GB of Dataram memory. The 16-way HP server rx9610 also supports a 64GB of RAM. A 1GB (4 x 256MB) upgrade is priced at $749, 2GB (4 x 512MB) upgrades are priced at $1,278, and 4GB (4 x 1GB) will set you back $3,095.
