DaimlerChrysler to Offer BlueTooth-Based Communications in 2003
In what may amount to a life saving and traffic accident preventing move, DaimlerChrysler announced that its hands-free telephone system will be available in some of its 2003 Model Year vehicles. The system, known as UConnect, is based on Bluetooth's wireless communications for using multiple devices within a small range. UConnect will retail for $299.00 US and will be available in Dodge trucks and SUVs, the Chrysler PT Cruiser, and some models of Chrysler minivans and Jeep models.
