CSR Offers Pre-tested Bluetooth Hardware/Software Bundle
CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) and WIDCOMM are now shipping a combined Bluetooth single-chip and software package that they say allows PC OEMs to "one-stop-shop" when building Bluetooth into Windows-based desktops and notebooks. The bundle (CSR part number, BC111015BBD-01) is pre-qualified to version 1.1 of the Bluetooth standard and includes full USB certification. The new product bundle consists of WIDCOMM's BTW Bluetooth communications software stack for Windows and CSR's BlueCore01 chip, hardware reference designs, and application software with installers. BlueCore01 includes an integrated CMOS-based radio, baseband, and microcontroller. The combined product package supports the Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 and Windows ME platforms.
