Cracking Windows passwords in seconds
Swiss researchers released a paper on Tuesday outlining a way to speed the cracking of alphanumeric Windows passwords, reducing the time to break such codes to an average of 13.6 seconds, from 1 minute 41 seconds. "The method involves using large lookup tables to match encoded passwords to the original text entered by a pereson, thus speeding the calculations required to break the codes. Called a time-memory trade-off, the situation means that an attacker with an abundance of computer memory can reduce the time it takes to break a secret code."

I think probably the easiest and safest way for you is remove your windows password with Windows Password Seeker. I found it at about.com PC support channel last week, and then I download it from passwordseeker.com and used it to remove the lost password within 5 minutes. Importantly, the useful tool no need to reinstall Windows. It's worth a try.
When I lost my windows password, I like to reset Windows Password with Windows Password Reset 9.0 and I think it is excellent and professional!
Once the password is removed, there is no need to type any passwords but to leave it blank, and click the user name to instantly log on Windows.
