Corsair ships 1 GHz DDR2 memory
Corsair claims it is first memory manufacturer to ship DDR2 memory clocked at 1 GHz. The XMS2-8000UL run at latency settings of 5-4-4-9 and - as the competition - were developed in cooperation with Asus for the i955X-based P5WD2 Premium motherboard.
The new modules will deliver 17 percent more memory performance that DDR2-667 devices and can be overclocked beyond the 1066 GHz mark, Corsair said. The company offers the memory as single 512 MByte module or in a 1 GByte kit consisting of two matching 512 MByte units. (THG)
