Contest: Win a Corsair Case, SSD, PSU Combo!

by - source: Tom's Hardware US

Guess how many candy corns are in this case!

It's the week leading up to Halloween, and Tom's Hardware has teamed up with Corsair to make things extra festive. Obviously, there's nothing spooky about PC hardware (though there have been some unsolved mysteries from troubleshooting), so we're going to play around with candy instead.

The object here is to guess to the best of your ability the number of Halloween candy corns that are inside the Corsair 800D case pictured below. To aid you in your estimates, the dimensions of the case are 24.00" x 9.00" x 24.00", so give it your best shot!

The contest will run starting Monday, October 26, 2009 and will close on Friday, November 6, 2009. The grand prize is as follows:

1.       Corsair Obsidian Series 800D Case

2.       Corsair HX850 Power Supply

3.       Corsair Hydro Series H50 Cooler

4.       128 GB Corsair Extreme Series SSD

There will also be 3 runner up prizes of Corsair 32GB Voyager USB Flash Drives.

The winner is the person who comes closest to the actual number of candy corns in the case maintained by Corsair as pictured above. In the case of if more than one entrant guesses correctly, then a random drawing will determine the winner.

Click here for the contest rules and entry form. Good luck and happy Halloween!

Please delete this article... Completely irrelevant. For the FOURTH time...
Well done - Perhaps Mr. Tuan should have a look into this... 4 identical articles posted on the same day, completely irrelevant, annoying and misleading... And I could just ignore it... if it would happen first time on Toms... but obviously it's a routine here... Mr. Tuan - how would you call a person who does that? In my books - an author who has done it - is rather intellectually challenged...

Okay are you kidding? I did the whole damn thing mathematically just to find out this is US only. Screw you guys, posting this on the UK website is just insulting and completely unfair. Here is my approximation, hope I was wrong, because if I was right, I am going to go insane: ca. 298652 candy corns.
Seriously, not cool, I hope more people hear of this.

Ok, on behalf of Tom's, just for the UK, here is my competition:

Q: For the entirety of 2010, I need the total number of duplicate articles + articles posted on the UK site that are irrelevant + Pro-Apple articles + typos.

The correct answer wins one return plane ticket to collect the Corsair Obsidian Series 800D Case they could have won. Good luck!

@ukgooey
Enough of the apple stuff already! we're on here to have a go at the articles' quality. Sometimes the Apple articles are intersting. Not often, but it's tom's hardware, not tom's PC.

Whoever is publishing these articles to the UK audience should be sat down with their supervisor and reminded the difference between an S, and a K. I mean, I could see how you'd mix them up if you were blind, but, if you're publishing online articles, you're probably not blind.

If by interesting you mean 'suck up to Apple marginally less then others', then I suppose so.

Ha ha. For the last two days my missus has made a point of using the word 'awesomesauce' as often as possible. Thanks for that :)
