Corning to volume produce 8G LCD substrates next year
Corning has started constructing an eighth-generation (8G) glass substrate plant in Japan, with volume production to commence next fall, according to Corning CEO Wendell Weeks, as cited by Japan-based Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun (via the Chinese-language Commercial Times ).
