Corel Stock Prices Rise After HP Announcement
Canadian software developer, Corel, saw its stock prices take an upward jump on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and on the Nasdaq after Hewlett-Packard announced that it had selected Corel's WordPerfect and Quattro Pro products as a standard desktop installation option. Corel's shares increased 17.6% (C$.21) on the Toronto Stock Exchange to close at C$1.40; Corel's shares on the Nasdaq increased 18.7% (US$.14) to close at US$.89.
