Copper heats up Gigabit switch market
Worldwide Gigabit Ethernet switch port shipments grew by almost a million ports in the third quarter of 2003, according to recent research from the Dell’Oro Group. "Shipments in copper-based Gigabit Ethernet ports helped the market as a whole grow 38 percent from the second quarter of 2003, the research firm said."
