Abit Ready For ACON5

Abit is getting really excited these days as the finals of its ACON5 worldwide gaming contest gets closer. Last year, ACON4 came to a pretty impressive end in Shanghai, China. This time, XiAn in central China will be the place to go. The reason why this place was chosen over lots of other cities will remain unclear, but one of the major reasons should be the growing market for gaming in China.
The system you see above was specially made by a British company for ACON5. Hence, the quantities we will see there will be very limited. Yet it looks very attractive for users who are into modding or into extraordinary things.
Abit also showed off a 512 MB ATI Radeon X800XL graphics card for PCI Express, a 955X motherboard AW8 (with no active fans), the customizable Guru Control Panel and, last but not least, all three Fatal1ty motherboards. However, there won't be any more Fatal1ty series motherboard releases in the near future, as Abit wants to avoid being recognized as a gaming-only company. They are still making other motherboards, and they are doing things all but wrong.
After some financial hassles Abit had over the last few months, there is finally an investor who wants to support the promising company. In fact, Abit is one of the few motherboard makers that actually managed to fortify its brand name and introduce the Fatal1ty name into the gaming market. The CEO will be replaced, too.

Three different Fatal1ty motherboards are available now.

AW8 is Abit's Alderwood solution (955X). Different from other products, this board does not require any active fans and can be an excellent basis for a low-noise system.

The skin for Abit's Guru Control Center can be customized by end users.
