Computex: Leadtek Goes Multimedia

Leadtek took time to talk with THG editor Patrick Schmid about the launch of a series of multimedia products at Computex. Leadtek just launched a WebCam Server, which is a cool, stand-alone device that can take in four composite video inputs from video cams and has an RJ45 network connection. The device can hook up to any independent network and allows you to build your own Internet-based surveillance solution at a reasonable cost. In addition, Leadtek also showed off its new Broadband Video Phone, a product that works over a standard broadband connection, such as cable or DSL, delivering a standalone video conferencing solution for higher quality audio and video than systems that use traditional phone lines.
