Component rises haunt PC market
Sony last week raised PC prices $100-$150 in response to component price rises. Other PC vendors are expected to follow suit - they simply don't have enough margin to absorb the extra costs. However, the price rises are unlikely to have too much effect on the PC market, as it is "flat and ugly already", IDC says.
