Compeq optimistic about 3Q and next year
At a shareholders meeting on May 24, Taiwan-based PCB maker Compeq Manufacturing chairman Charles Wu stated that while the company performed better in the first quarter than forecast, it is falling short of expectations in the second quarter, mainly due to unsatisfactory flip chip board shipments that only just cover costs. However, profits are on the horizon for the third quarter, and while this year's revenues may only grow slightly from last year, reorganization within the company stands to brighten prospects considerably for next year.
