Compaq goes direct In Europe
This September Compaq will launch extranet sites for its European corporate accounts so customers can order products direct from the manufacturer.
In the fourth quarter Compaq will launch an agent program for European resellers, paying them an agent fee for referring sales to Compaq. Compaq already has similar programs running in the United States.
European corporate customers will be able to choose whether to have the product shipped directly from Compaq or delivered by the reseller.
