Compaq cuts prices on Armadas, Deskpros
Compaq has reduced prices on its Armada notebooks and Deskpro desktop PCs.
Armada 1700, 3500 and 7400 notebook models were reduced up to 13 percent.
Selected models of Compaq's Deskpro EP and EN Series were reduced up to 12 percent.
Prices on the Armada 1700 Series now begin at $2,199 for a model with a 266MHz Mobile Pentium II, a 13.3" TFT screen and Microsoft Windows 95.
Deskpro prices start at $1109 for a Deskpro EP Series model with an Intel Celeron processor at 400MHz, 32MB of RAM, a 4.3GB hard drive, Microsoft Windows 95 and a S700 17" monitor.
