CommVault Expands Distribution Strategy Through Arrow
CommVault, a provider of Unified Data Management solutions, and Arrow Electronics, Inc., through its Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) business unit, just told the world that they have signed a wide-ranging distribution agreement. The arrangement covers North American commercial markets and initially designates Arrow as the exclusive value-added distributor for CommVault’s full suite of enterprise data management products and services. This is the latest in a series of worldwide agreements CommVault has made toward developing a two-tier channel distribution strategy. The relationship enables CommVault to reach more resellers and end users through Arrow ECS’ extensive relationships with more than 7,500 reseller partners. It also gives CommVault access to Arrow ECS’ community of storage resellers and systems integrators who fit the company’s ideal channel partner profile of having a strong storage practice focused on data migration, data archive, compliance, disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Through the agreement, over 100 CommVault Bronze, Silver and Gold level resellers will be transferred to Arrow ECS and will gain a new level of support in the form of Arrow ECS’ engineering, marketing, financing, certification and training services. They will also gain access to Arrow ECS’ extensive line card of more than 75 computer product brands. CommVault software complements Arrow ECS’ major storage hardware lines including HP and Network Appliance, thereby enabling Arrow ECS to offer a range of enterprise data management solutions across its partner community to help address customer needs and capture more sales revenue. CommVault’s data management products will be available through Arrow ECS beginning April 2, 2007.
