Coming soon: Virtual AGP
Products based on Nvidia's Virtual AGP technology could available later this quarter or early next quarter, according to The Register.
Virtual AGP is a unique texture management technology designed to provide older systems without AGP slots with high performance AGP-style graphical options in a standard PCI slot.
Nvidia's partners reportedly will offer two basic cards: a TNT2 M64 PRO-based VAGP card with a 64-bit, 133MHz chip with 166MHz memory clock and 16- and 32MB of display buffer; and a more powerful TNT2 PRO-based VAGP card with a 128-bit, 143MHz chip with 166MHz memory clock and 32MB of display buffer.
