Comfy Seat for Hardcore Gamers

Office chairs are just not designed with the gamer in mind. Heck, if you spend any amount of time in front of a computer, you start to think they're not designed with humans in mind. Nothing ever seems to be in the exact right place to maximize your gaming experience and comfort. Whether you're trying to juggle a joystick or figuring out a way to bolt a steering wheel to your desk, it seems like better options should be available to help you achieve your full gaming potential. Nexcient thinks it's got the design for a gaming chair wired with its new GameSeat. The GameSeat offers lumbar and thigh support, and incorporates specially-angled, rubber textured trays for joystick/throttle placement. These side-mounted trays are deployed via small gas springs that let the trays fold down when you're not using them. The GameSeat comes with a standard base that includes 5 dual-wheel casters, adjustable-height gas spring, and a tilt/swivel/control mechanism with adjustable tilt tension. As an added sensory bonus, the GameSeat also has an optional built-in transducer that provides tactile feedback (shaking) when connected to the computer/video sound source. The optional shaker includes a transducer installed in the seat, control panel/amplifier installed inside of seat, custom wire harness with quick-connect fittings, AC120v-in, DC12v-out @ 2.5A power supply, and an audio splitter cable so that you can still hook up your speakers to your audio source. Nexcient also thinks the GameSeat could also find its place as a general-use computer chair. If a cordless mouse is your input device of choice, it seems like those little trays could come in handy if you want to reduce the amount of reaching you do while mousing. The suggested U.S. retail price for the GameSeat is $399 but Nexcient is currently offering a special introductory price of $359. The "Shaker" option is an additional $129 and a variety of different coverings (including leather) are available at varying prices. GameSeat will be sold at Nexcient's website . Now, if they only had an attachment for a steering wheel...
