Call your better half with your laptop - while you pretend to work.
CommuniTech Inc., a small company that makes phones for voice over IP (VoIP), debuted what the company claims is a phone you plug into your laptop or PC that offers features associated with a normal landline phone's form factor.
You plug it into your PC and call whomever you want using a VoIP telephony service that costs only a few pennies to call most places in the world. Features include a speakerphone, a number pad and a six-foot cord.
While Cisco offers a variety of different VoIP phone devices for professional and consumer applications and has over 99% of the market sewn up, this phone, available now, sells for under $100.
