NEC-Mitsubishi extends offering to include 20" and 21" LCD displays for launch next month.

NEC-Mitsubishi unveiled 20" and 21" LCD displays here as part of its NEC MultiSync LCD 80 Series monitors line. According to the company, the displays offer a resolution of 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz, brightness of 250 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 400:1. Rapid Response is 30 ms or less, while the monitors offer up to 50 frames per second.

But how reliable are these company-issued specs for the 20" and 21" displays that will retail for $1,499.99 and $1,549.99, respectively, when they see commercial launch next month? Not very, really. As THG reported , specifications given by the vendor do not mean much. But this is not to say that the NEC-Mitsubishi LCD panels launched this week at Comdex were not great to look at.
