Comcast offers $66 billion for Disney
Cable TV provider Comcast proposed early Wednesday to buy Disney. In addition to the stock offer valued at $54 billion, the company also would assume Disney’s debt of $11.9 billion. According to Comcast, an initial proposal to Disney CEO Michael Eisner remained unanswered, which led the company to publish its offer to the entertainment giant’s board.
