Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) plans to roll out its first 52" LCD TV panels from a 5.5-generation (5.5G) TFT LCD plant in the first quarter of 2007, according to the company. The panel will have a 1,920×1,080 resolution, 500-nit brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 6.5 ms response time, CMO indicated.
