A KVM switch not only saves you having to have a second monitor, but also eliminates considerable desktop space. The money saved can then be invested in a larger monitor or screen that can be used for both computers. If both PCs use speakers, you should make sure that the KVM switch can also switch the audio connection as well when mulling the purchase of KVM switch.

Among the two-way KVM switches we tested, the leaders of the pack were the Aten CS-82A and the Gembird CAS-231. Both feature a generous range of functions and features.
