Mobo makers: Clone market to drive strong 4Q shipments
Rising demand in the clone market will drive strong motherboard shipments throughout November, despite slow OEM shipments due to the entry-level chipset shortage, according to motherboard makers.
PC vendors, including Dell and Hewlett-Packard (HP), mainly adopt chipsets from Intel, explained the makers, adding that the continuing shortage from the chip giant is inevitably disrupting motherboard makers’ OEM shipments.
