Clinton to sign H-1B visa bill

Despite earlier threats to veto the H-1B visa bill if Congress refused to add provisions he wanted, President Clinton says he will sign it into law as it stands. The bill will significantly increase the number of skilled tech workers allowed to work in the US. The White House will reportedly continue to push for the measures it wanted, including special consideration for Latin American immigrants and a doubling of the $500 H-1B visa application fee.
