Cisco to acquire wireless security firm Meetinghouse
Cisco today said that it will acquire privately held Meetinghouse Data Communications in a $43.7 million cash transaction. Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based Meetinghouse is the developer of Aegis, a client-side security software for 802.1x WLANs that allows enterprise customers to restrict network access to authorized users and devices.
The acquisition is subject to closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals, and is expected to close the Q1 of Cisco’s fiscal year 2007, ending 28 October 2006.
