Circuit mimics brain activity
A joint effort by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs in New Jersey and the Institute of Neuroinformatics in Zurich have created a circuit they say works in the same way as the brain's neural system. The circuit, reportedly, can emulate the human brain's system of feedback loops using both digital and analog signals and could be a major step forward toward computers that think like humans.
