Chipset designers add new products for 400MHz FSB-based AMD processors
Along with the launch of a new 400MHz FSB (front-side bus), Barton-core Athlon XP from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), chipset designers VIA Technologies and Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) on May 13 formally introduced supporting chipsets - the KT600 and KM400A from VIA and SiS748 from SiS. Nvidia, continuing its efforts in developing the core logic chipset business, launched its nForce2 Ultra 400 and nForce2 400 chipsets to support AMD's latest processors.
