Chip price war in 01?
After studying the supply situation in Taiwan, where so much of the semiconductor stock is manufactured, analysts from Cowen and Co. say we should expect much lower PC chip prices as supply problems are worked out and fabricators battle it out in early 2001. They also predict that Intel, still suffering from past chipset errors, will give up significant market share to the Taiwanese company Via Technologies.
