PC Magazine UK is reporting that Chinese Internet search provider Baidu will appeal a Beijing court decision requiring it to compensate a division of music publisher EMI, for giving users access to pirated MP3 music files.
Baidu’s legal counsel said that the court ruling was based on a " misunderstanding of the search engine technology" used by the company in its MP3 search service.
