Sheet Metal Painting Process, Continued

The automated painting gun sprays the cases with paint. The entire painting process is highly automated.

Once the cases are painted, they are baked to dry and harden the finish. It takes about 40 minutes for each case to dry after being painted.

Time for another Q.A. inspection. This time the Q.A. focus is on both the paint quality and color match of the paint. In addition, the hardness, thickness and the paint chemistry is also tested to assure quality and consistency. As you can see here, the Q.A. team uses a variety of high tech tools to execute this testing.

Once the panels are painted and dry, they are then packed in cloth sleeves to protect them from scratches and dust prior to final installation.
