Sheet Metal & Stamping Process, Continued

by

Here, one of the Chenbro employees is re-working the die to implement an engineering change required to improve product quality. Chenbro is continually looking for ways to improve the quality and consistency of their products.

This is the long stamping production line that produces the metal to be used in cases. Because there are so many stages, the parts for a case are run down the line in stages to achieve the finished metal pieces that are required for assembly.

Stamping is not the only process that takes place on this production line. In certain situations, the metal is also bent to form a shape. In this picture you can see that the bottom and front are bent to form the "L" shape that you see. Using this process creates a stronger case since there are no seams to rivet or weld.
