Cheap Compaq 17 Inch S720 CRT

Well, it's not quite the sub-$500 21" LCD I'm waiting for (dream on), but Compaq's new 17" S720 CRT is priced at a bargain-basement $229 and has a 1280 x 1024 maximum resolution. The display features standard issue on-screen displays for brightness, contrast, size, positioning, pincushion (barrel), trapezoid, tilt (rotation), color temperature, moiré cancellation, display timing, degauss, and factory reset/recall. At 1024 x 768 it gives you a refresh rate of 86 Hz, and it comes in three fashion colors. I'm not sure whether it's the best deal in town, but as everyone starts moving to LCDs you can now pick up big screen CRTs at really low prices. If you've got the desk space, why be trendy? Save your money for a kick-ass graphics card.
