Chartered to make AMD64 microprocessors
AMD said that it has signed a deal with Chartered Semiconductor - a Singapore foundry - to make 64-bit processors under licence.
AMD said it is doing to so increase production - it currently makes Athlon 64s and Opterons at its Dresden semiconductor factory.
