Darth Vader's younger brother hits the big time
The creators of the popular Chad Vader online video series which lampoons Darth Vader’s younger brother are hitting the big time. Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan made the films on a shoe string budget and now have a potential commercial deal to make several more episodes for a major website.
Each five minute episode of Chad Vader has Yonda donning the famous Darth Vader costume to play the bumbling grocery store manager. The episodes have been viewed millions of times on YouTube and also on the official Chad Vader website. In addition to free web episodes, the site sells DVDs, ringtones, t-shirts and even coffee mugs.
Both Yonda and Sloan are now concentrating on completing more episodes. Sloan has quit his job at the University of Wisconsin bookstore, while Yonda has taken a leave of absence from his metalworking job.
