While CES tends to lean more toward consumer gadgets and less toward computer components, we heard about at least one motherboard being trotted about at the conference. Leadtek's new WinFast 7350KDA supports AMD K7 Socket A Athlon Duron processors and uses the SiS735 chipset, which integrates the northbridge and south bridge. Leadtek says that bridging the north bridge, south bridge, and PCI devices with 1.2GB/s Bandwidth, creates a 10-times broader bandwidth than the traditional PCI devices. The WinFast 7350KDA gives you a 2X/4X AGP slot, IDE ATA 100/66/33, and built-in 3D sound effects. In addition, a CNR slot, six PCI slots, three 184 -pin DIMM sockets for DDR -SDRAM modules, and a 10/100Mbps fast Ethernet connection are also along for the ride. The FSB runs at 200 to 266MHz (DDR) and the board itself supports Leadtek's own Speed Gear overclocking utility and hardware monitor software. The Speed Gear utility application allows for CPU/SDRAM/AGP/PCI adjustment, with voltage adjustments for Vddq and Vmem voltage.
