Nvidia's Personal Cinema 2, NvDVD 2.0, And FX Release

Leadtek had the GeForce FX on show.

Nvidia had it, too. First week of February, you'll have it.
It won't be long now. GeForce FX is going to be out by the first week of February.
In the meantime, Nvidia launched a new version of its Personal Cinema. There's an RF remote control. The breakout pod is much better. You can record direct to DVD, and Nvidia even gives you a couple of easy to set up formats so that you can organized and map out your video and audio clips on a disc. In the demonstration we got, Nvidia burned a couple of pieces of video on to a DVD and played it back on a separate consumer electronics device.
It's pretty cool stuff. A more complete, and well-rounded solution than version 1. Another version 2 making the rounds at Nvidia's booth was NvDVD.

Personal Cinema 2 lets you record direct to DVD, one of its new features. The burned DVD is playing through a standard DVD player and incorporates the straightforward interface you see here.
NvDVD is either bundled with Nvidia boards, depending on the manufacturer, or you can buy it off of Nvidia's website. In this new version, the software is graphics agnostic. Version 2 is really a media player as much as anything else. It has some enhancements to the user interface, and some features to make it easier to bookmark content, and manage your media files.

NvDVD 2.0 made an appearance at the show, too. Not just a DVD player anymore.
Did we say that GeForce FX comes out the first week of February?
