Altec Lansing - Speakers Up!
Our next stop was a visit with the fine people at Altec Lansing. We had a spirited discussion about their continued enhancements to their speaker technology. Altec Lansing has long been a favorite of many of us here at THG, and we have been using their speakers and speaker technology for many years. Altec Lansing is clearly one of the leaders in computer speaker technology, and they were excited to tell us about some of the new 5.1 speaker systems that they have in their new video gaming product line: you can just hook your X-Box or PS/2 up to these new 5.1 speaker systems. These speakers did sound great to us, and a lot better than the typical sound that comes from the speakers in our TV. These products are available in a variety of price ranges.
We also snapped a few pictures of some of the other speakers in the Altec Lansing computer products line. We were really thrilled with the new 251s, which we thought sounded exceptional.
The Altec Lansing 251 speaker set still is one of the best sounding speakers sets that we have seen. We look forward to seeing how it will rate in our testing.
In this picture you see some of the speakers that most likely are unfamiliar to you, the 641 and the 621. Great sound and a good value, and they look cool too!
