Open-E: NAS Server

The family of NAS-on-Flash modules is growing: in addition to the Open-E NAS SOHO and the Open-E NAS 2.1 there is already now an Enterprise Edition with additional features, such as allocation of contingents, several administrator accounts at various levels of authorization, snapshot function, support for USVs and various other features.
Open-E NAS is a Flash module that can be used in practically every computer with an IDE interface. The Flash module has a specialized Linux version, which was optimized by Open-E for use as an NAS server. By way of a Web interface, the NAS is easily configured and allows administration of users and user groups, the configurable release of shares. The Open-E NAS module made a respectable first impression on us in our lab; a detailed test will follow shortly.
