Asus
In addition to the newest motherboards, the Asus stand in Hall 2/A20 has the following new products to on display:
L5000D: Athlon64 Notebook With Chip Set And Graphics Solution By NVIDIA.

Introducing the L5000D, Asus is one of the few companies with a notebook containing the Athlon64 CPU. Regarding the chip set and the graphics solution, the Taiwan based company fully banks on NVIDIA: The chip set Nforce2 is used, for graphics processing, NVIDIA's Geforce FX Go5650 (with 64 MB of dedicated video memory) is employed. Asus says it decided on NVIDIA because that ensures seamless functioning of AMD's power-saving technology, Powernow. Another striking feature: the device's 15" Ace-View TFT display with XGA or SXGA+ resolution. Thanks to the Ace View technology, the display boasts an improved contrast ratio and an authentic color display. In addition to integrated WLAN in accordance with the 802.11b/g standard, the L5000D is one of the few products available that includes an gigabit Ethernet connection. Standard interfaces such as SUB2.0, Firewire and the Multicard Reader (SD, MMC, MemoryStick/MSPro) are included in the notebook. At four kilograms, however, the solution is not exactly light.
Asus Mypal A730: Next Generation PDA Based On Intel's Next Generation Xscale Processor

We made an interesting discovery at the numerous display cases at Asus' stand: Mypal is not just Asus' PDA of the next generation but this PDA, according to rumors, is based on Intel's next generation Xscale processor. It is not just known under the codename "Bulverde." With "Bulverde," the features known from notebook CPUs - such as Speedstep and MMX - are supposed to gain popularity in the handheld market segment as well. Other than that, this PDA contains just about all the things that make life easier and more entertaining: Wireless functions such as WLAN, infrared (SIR) and Bluetooth are already installed. To expand the A730 - which comes with a 64 MB flash ROM and 128 MB working memory - two slots are available, which can either support a CF or SD card of the SDIO standard. Boasting dimensions of 73 x 113 x 16.5 mm, the device is not only handy - it also weighs just 190 grams. The manufacturer did not want to provide any information regarding the durability of the 1150mAh standard accumulator, though. Another feature of the PDA is the integrated 1 megapixel camera and a 3.7" TFT display, which not only offers VGA resolution. In addition, its orientation can be switched (on edge or across). Unfortunately, Asus provided no information as to the availability and the price of the device. Rumors, at least, suggest that the "Super PDA" will be introduced in May or June.
Asus A8100 PDA Mobile Phone

Debuting A8100, Asus is introducing a machine blending the functions of a cell phone, a PDA, an MP3 player, and a digital camera. To expand data memory, the device has a MMC/SD card slot. The pressure sensitive TFT display offers QVGA resolution, and as a Tri-Band device, the A8100 can be used in the following networks: EGSM900, DCS1800 and PCS1900.
Graphics Cards
In the realm of graphics cards, this year's CeBIT offers only few surprises. ATI and NVIDIA have not yet presented its new product generation, and the card makers cannot show off anything (or are not yet allowed to). So, what is there to see, then? Primarily the current product generation, here and there beefed up with PCI Express prototype cards. ATI's partners are presenting the first RV380 (mainstream) cards with the PCI Express interface. NVIDIA's partner companies are showing the new PCX card versions, which, at times, stun visitors with their strange appearance.
