Corsair: On The Waterfront

Corsair, the American memory manufacturer, was also represented at the CeBIT, although it was a rather small stand. Not to be overlooked is the brand new product in their portfolio - an external watercooling system for processors, called "HydroCool 200." This name is derived from the maximum theoretical thermal energy that the system can dissipate from the processor (200W).

The foundation for this comprises a copper cooling block from Delphi Thermal Systems, one of the leading manufacturers of cooling systems for the automotive industry. Corsair places great importance on its ease of use, extremely low noise level and some of the additional features such as a two-level alarm (can be customized by the user), a flow meter and a maintenance-free, self-healing safety fuse, plus the interesting fact that the HydroCool is an external system.

The fastener for the cooling block is similar to that of conventional coolers (pictured her on an Athlon XP).

Naturally, Pentium 4 is also supported. This picture shows the fasteners for Socket 478.
