Nvidia is going to get screwed if their card is not faster than ATI !!!
I personally don't care any more, I will buy which ever performs the best..
After 6 months and with a 5% ~ 10% estimated gain in performance, the 400 series cards have caused me to stop waiting and finally get an Asus 5870!!
The big question is, has ATI fixed the hdmi audio bug in the 5000 series cards. It's all very well coming out with enhancements so long as major bug fixes are included. We had hoped that official Cat 10.1 or 10.2 would have a fix, alas that is not the case. The audio bug causes a very loud noise when the GPU clock rates change. Presently the only fix is to install GPU clocking software or go back to using a 4600 series card!

WOW ATI kick some Nvidia Booty...I have 2 9800Gt from MSI and had nothing but issues with Nvidia Drivers...I hope that the new card series redeems itself if not ..ATI all the way BABY...My buddies single 4890 destroys my 2 9800gt oc at 700mhz at the core and 2ghz ram...and he paid a lot less than i did...sad sad sad for me...
Ati is shedding its image of making poor quality drivers, now its drivers are as good as nvidia's plus radeons r more powerful than geforces theoritically (i mean flops).
If this continues, Ati will overtake nvidia as #1 GPU maker financially. GO on baby!!
is really great to see AMD/ATi doing so well ^^

My Asus 5850 is quite happy going from stock 725/4000 1.087v ---> 913/4800 1.2v so far and not even tried more v than that yet.
(can handle 1.35 easy enough up to 1.5 max setable - but need special cooling for anything much past 1.35v + diminishing returns after that)
The 5XXX series with their already fantastic OCing and now also these driver speed improvements are going to be tough for the Fermi to stand against.
I don't see Fermi, especially the 480 high end part, managing such great OC's.
Factoring in a decent OC - ATi are faster than Fermi!?
We Shall see real soon now hehe
I always loved ati for their drivers... even 6-7 years ago. They say fermi are going to be up to 10% faster then current ati 5000 cards... well this make them only up to 2% better. HE he GO ATI
I wish ATI would stop using computer generated girls to sell graphics cards. It's so demeaning.
I used to be a big Nvidia fan but i've switched to a 5870! Im not very interested in what Nvidia have to offer to be honest and I'll p**s myself laughing if the 400 doesnt perform as well as my 3 month old 5870!
