If you're a fan of Iomega JAZ drives, the fact that it looks like the company will be leaving you out in the cold is probably forcing you to look at different storage options. The ORB drive offers four interface solutions in a single drive along with PCMCIA, USB1.1 and SCSI cables. One good bit of news here is that the cartridges for the device cost $29.95. Castlewood's ORB uses magneto-resistive technology and is available in both 2.2GB and 5.7GB internal and external versions. For backward compatibility, the ORB 5.7GB drive can ORB 2.2GB drive cartridges. Castlewood's ORB 2.2GB family of drives includes its internal SCSI and EIDE drives, and its 4-in-1 line of SCSI, USB, PCMCIA and FireWire external products. The ORB 2.2GB product family starts at $149.95 to $249.95 retail.
