Capitol Records deals with Aimster
Capitol Records, a subsidiary of the EMI Group, is promoting the forthcoming album by Radiohead through P2P file-sharing systems Aimster and Angry Coffee. EMI isn't giving MP3s of songs to the companies, but they will provide video and streaming music. This teaming of P2P companies with a company that helped sue Napster could represent a change of tide in the hostility between file-sharing services and the music labels.
