Canon and Toshiba are showcasing a new 55" SED (surface conduction electron emitter display) TV at FPD International 2006, according to the Japanese-language Nihon Keizai Shimbun. The 55" model has a better performance than the 36" model the two Japan-based companies presented at CEATEC Japan 2005 (October 4-8), added the paper.
